We believe a bag should be made once, made well, and carried for a lifetime. Every decision we make — from the hides we source to the hands that stitch them — is guided by that belief.
At Montesere, sustainability is not a campaign. It is the foundation of how we design, source, produce, and stand behind every bag we make. We hold ourselves to four commitments — and we publish our progress against each one, every year.
01 — Produce Responsibly
Source only what is necessary. Make only what will last.
We work exclusively with Leather Working Group (LWG) certified tanneries, where water use, chemical management, and traceability are independently audited. Our target is 100% certified leather by 2025.
We produce in small batches. Every bag in a production run has already been ordered — we do not manufacture speculatively, and we do not hold excess inventory.
02 — Maximize Wear
Design for decades, not seasons.
Every Montesere bag is designed without trend in mind. Classic silhouettes, neutral tones, and hardware that ages gracefully — these are not compromises, they are the point.
Our bags are built to develop a patina over years of use. The leather we select is chosen precisely because it becomes more beautiful with time, not less.

03 — Extend Life
Repair before you replace.
We offer a lifetime repair service on every bag we have ever made. Worn straps, loose stitching, tarnished hardware — our atelier partners can restore any Montesere bag to its original condition.
